Welcome to the October, 2022 Harmony Way Newsletter!

Are you "team" pumpkin spice, apple spice or both? I personally enjoy both and all things Autumnal.

October is a fabulous time for clearing out the old, connecting with our ancestors and going within to determine our next steps for any current goals.

It's also a perfect time to get outside, with the cooler temperatures, gorgeous leaves and so many fun activities at this time of year. Wishing you a healthy, enjoyable October and rest of your fall season!

This Month's Exercise Demos:

Group Exercise Class

(From: Fit & Well)

Core strength is an integral part of back/spine health and longevity. Any fitness instructor or personal trainer will tell you how important this area is. The core is also much more than simply the muscles at your center. They actually wrap around to the spine and assist with many functions and movements of the body. There are some great exercises in this article to strengthen the core muscles.

*Always check in with your medical health provider for advice and guidance before starting a new workout program, being mindful of any existing conditions or injuries that you have, discussing these with a qualified medical professional prior to trying any workout.

This Month's Wellness Articles:

Reiki

(From: Harvard Medical School)

There has been a lot of buzz in the media recently surrounding the possible health (especially mental health) benefits of microdosing psychedelics of various types. Here is some current evidence-based information about this interesting topic. There is likely to be much more research within this area in the years to come as well.

This Month's Yummy Recipe Links:

Vegan Bolognese Sauce

(From: Minimalist Baker)

Gluten-Free Option, Nut-Free, Vegan

Pumpkin butter in only 20 minutes? Yes, please! Once this pumpkin butter is completed, it can be eaten alone as a "guilty pleasure" food, added to toast or cake/cookies/yogurt as a topping or even made into a layered pudding parfait (Minimalist Baker has a recipe for that as well). If you love pumpkin butter, but don't have loads of time to sit and watch it on the stove, this recipe might be a winner for you.

Spread Love

PS Abundance is everywhere and comes in a variety of forms. When we maintain a grateful, open heart, it allows us to discover the many types of abundance in our lives that we may never have previously noticed.
